Sony-sponsored EToo is the E3 companion gaming event happening in London

Are you missing E3 in Los Angeles again this year? If you happen to live in London, you can check out the first ‘companion event’ to E3 that is taking place at the Loading Bar (a game-themed drinking establishment in Soho) that founders Keith Stuart and Georg Backer have decided to call EToo.

Sony PlayStation has been announced as headline partner and GameStick as event partner. With over 30 other developers representing their games there, EToo sounds like the perfect place to get your hands on Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, the platform adventure Rain, and several Android games, all while sampling cocktails based on video games. Sameer R. Baroova from PlayJam commented, “What better way to celebrate the most exciting week in gaming than to spend it playing awesome games, meeting developers and gamers, and discussing all things gaming. We are excited to show off GameStick at EToo, and are very glad to be a part of it. Cheers to Keith and Georg for putting this together.” We couldn’t agree more.

Some of the games and developers that are scheduled to demo at the event are:

  • New Star Games with a new build of New Star Soccer
  • Hello Games with Joe Dander
  • Mediatonic with Foul Play
  • Nyamyam Games with Tengami
  • Big Robot with Sir You Are Being Hunted
  • Simon Roth with Maia
  • Tom Francis with Gunpoint
  • Tiniest Shark with Redshirt
  • Alistair Aitcheson with Slamjet Stadium
  • Curves Studios and Projector Games with Fortress Craft
  • Capcom with Lost Planet 3 and the HD version of Duck Tales

Games will demo throughout the day with the developers taking part in mini-talks and workshops. Of course, E3 will be live-streamed from a corner of the bar from a dedicated YouTube channel so you won’t miss anything.  Radio show OneLifeLeft will host a mini-disco and event.

Anyone interested in attending EToo will need to pre-register but it is free to the public. The E3 live stream taking place between 7 p.m. and midnight will however cost £6 to attend and comes with a free drink. You can go the official website at
