Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has some important news for gamers today. The next DLC character for their latest fighter, Injustice: Gods Among Us, isn’t even from DC Comics; he is none other than Mortal Kombat star, Scorpion. DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee has redesigned the yellow ninja in order to fit into the comic universe, and it is good to see that the very first guy I learned how to play as in Mortal Kombat is still beating the snot out of everyone after all these years (not even alternate dimensions can stop him from harpooning fools in the chest). Scorpion will be literally tugging our heartstrings on June 11th, and will be available to download on the 360 for 400 Microsoft Points and the PS3 for $5. A look into Scorpion’s history can be seen below, with Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon chatting it up with Jim Lee about Scorpion’s redesign and comic book influence.
