In what feels like a remarkable first for any game, Rayman Legends will be getting a set of Wii U exclusive costumes for Rayman and Globox. The duo will now be able to dress up as arguably the most famous duo in the history of videogames, Mario and Luigi. While other versions of the game will have exclusive costumes from Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell, it should be considered a major feather in the cap for Ubisoft to secure any iconic costume skin from Nintendo, let alone the two mustachioed plumbers.
On top of the costumes, it looks like the Wii U will have some different features from the other versions, as it appears to make use of the Wii U game tablet in order to do some puzzle solving. During the Nintendo Direct briefing this morning, it seemed like the accelerometer that is part of the tablet will also be used to solve certain puzzles, which makes sense as Rayman Legends was originally developed as a Wii U exclusive before being delayed in order to receive a wider release over multiple platforms.
Rayman Legends comes to North America on September 3rd for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PlayStation Vita, PC and the Wii U.
