Illusion or not, Castle of Illusion set to hit consoles on September 4th worldwide…with sweet pre-order bonuses

SEGA announced today that their reimagining of the Genesis classic, Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, will be available worldwide for digital download this September 4th, on the PC, PSN, and XBLA. The title will set you back $15 or 1200 Microsoft Points (£9.99/€12.99 for our European gamers).

There is an extremely cool pre-order bonus available for a limited time, too: players who pre-order Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse on the PSN from August 21th to September 3rd will be able to obtain a downloadable emulation of the Genesis version, one dynamic theme, and three avatars. Customers will be able to enjoy these bonuses once the game launches (the lucky devils).

Will you help Mickey save Minnie from the evil witch Mizrabel and face the terrors of the Castle of Illusion, this time in glorious HD?! I know I will, because I used to rent Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse like crazy from my local video store. More info on the upcoming adventure can be found here. Between this and Ducktales Remastered, I feel like a little boy again! Now we just need a World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck remake…
