Yep, the PS4 is out November 15th in North America, but that’s not all! Europe is getting their hands on the new console in the same month on November 29th, with Sony proclaiming that 32 countries will be seeing their sleek, sexy machine this holiday season. Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House also cheerfully stated that the PS4 has seen over 1 million pre-orders globally.
If all this good news wasn’t enough for gamers, Andrew also unveiled info on a next-gen upgrade program: players who buy PS3 versions of certain titles will be able to download a digital version of their PS4 counterpart for a discounted price. Some games have already been confirmed for the program, including Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Sony is hoping to add more publishers to the program, which is pretty damn neat! I’m going to personally wait to just get the games on the PS4 because I never had a PS3, but it is nice to see such a program even EXIST.
