Ubisoft announces Just Dance Kids 2014, for children and hesitant parents alike

Ubisoft announced the development of a new version of Just Dance today, aimed entirely at the youngins! Titled Just Dance Kids 2014, the fourth title in the Kids subseries of Just Dance (who knew dancing was so complex?), this title promises a family-oriented track list that everyone can enjoy, along with exclusive modes available for certain console specific versions of the game.

Geoffroy Sardin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ubisoft EMEA, couldn’t be more happy about bringing families together, stating:

“We’ve seen parents, teachers and families from around the world bring our Just Dance Kids games into their living rooms and classrooms over the past few years. We’re dedicated to making Just Dance Kids 2014 our best Kids dance game to date with new music, dance moves and features to make the dance experience fun for the entire family.”

If I had kids, I would love to dance like an idiot with them to their favorite tunes, embarrassment be darned. As far as the new modes go, well, here’s some info:

Just Create Mode – only available for the 360’s Kinect, this mode allows kids to create their own music videos, choreography, and dance moves (my favorite move as a child was the “uncontrollable body jiggle,” which I still do to this day).

Dance Director Mode – exclusive to the WiiU, this mode allows one player to be the Dance Director, who uses the GamePad to throw off dancers in the middle of songs by issuing dance move suggestions (dance, puppets, dance!).

Parents Corner – this mode will be in all versions of the game, and allows parents to track how many calories their kids are burning with the fitness tracker, and also contains custom playlists and non-stop shuffle.

Just Dance Kids 2014 will be out October 22nd in the States and October 25th in the UK, for the Wii, WiiU, and 360. Check out the track list below (it has Fraggle Rock (Opening and Closing Theme), so it wins Game of the Forever).
