With yesterday’s release of Total War: Rome II, Creative Assembly has surely assembled a list of bugs and issues people have been experiencing, and are quick to the punchline by announcing an update this upcoming Friday.
The developers had this to say:
“At Creative Assembly we are very pleased with the response to ROME II, with hundreds of thousands of players enjoying the game so far; but we do know that, as with all large PC releases, the variety of hardware and general system specifications can cause issues for some people and we are urgently working to help get them the right experience.”
It was announced last month that they are also planning to “tweak the balancing, AI routines and other features” after the real-time metric data they have received from thousands of players who have been playing the game. Creative Assembly wants to make sure their game is running optimally, so you can plan on these updates to be frequent and possibly weekly.
Full patch notes won’t be available until Friday, but the update will “address known instances of crashes due to hardware conflicts alongside several other performance fixes”.
Creative Assembly also urges those having issues to hit up www.totalwar.com/rome2support and community forums to find fixes.
