Rockstar has once again reached out to GTA fans to keep online players informed with news of future updates.
For those waiting for word on the GTA$ Stimulus Package that was announced, an official Rockstar statement reads, “As mentioned in that post, we of course want to ensure that game progress loss issues are sufficiently sorted before distributing the GTA$ to everyone. We have a few more tweaks and fixes to make in a new title update that will hit sometime next week and then we will distribute the cash.” So don’t worry, you’ll be flying down the highway in your new super car in no time.
Rockstar has also announced the Beach Bum Pack, the first add-on update for all-new content, which includes:
New beach themed vehicles and new weapons for use in both GTA Online and Story Mode
Customization options for your GTA Online character
New maps for Gang Attack, Survival, Last Team Standing, Parachute, Deathmatch and Race game modes
The GTA Online Content Creator is scheduled to premiere sometime this fall which will give players the ability to craft, publish, rate and play custom-made Deathmatch and Race Jobs. Rockstar has stated that they will follow these creations and pick the best to become “Rockstar Verified,” earning a spot as a feature on the Rockstar website and the GTA Online Social Club. Both the Content Creator and the Beach Bum Pack are free to all online players.
Speaking of the Social Club, Rockstar has announced that the Grand Theft Auto Online Social Club Event weekends will begin in November. These events will provide an opportunity for players to recieve special rewards and bonuses as well as prize pack giveaways of hard to find GTA V gear and more. Players can also check out the new GTA Online live-stream show hosted by Rockstar at the Social Club Events page and Rockstar Games Twitch page.
Now that the kinks are almost out, GTA Online is starting to look promising. Be sure to keep an eye out for new content as updates are released.
