An early Beta of the post-apocalyptic survival MMO Nether has popped up for purchase through Steam’s Early Access program.
The game is a post-apocalyptic survival sim set in Chicago, and draws influence from the DayZ mod for ArmaII. The game is played in first-person, features an expansive open urban environment, 64 players per server, and incorporates survival mechanics found in other post-apocalyptic survival titles, such as trading, scavenging, and management of hunger and stamina.
Nether is being developed by Phosphor Games, and is currently available at a 10% discount through Steam.
Purchasing the “Believer” pack for $26.99 will grant you access to the Closed Beta, 20 Currency Points, 3 Beta Keys to share, and the ability to have a say in which features are added to the game. Purchasing the “Chosen” pack for $44.99 will grant you access to the Closed Beta, 50 Nether Gold, an exclusive in-game item, 5 Beta Keys to share, the ability to participate in discussions of new features, and a highlighted name in the game’s Forums.
