Ubisoft has announced that the next-gen version of their pirate assassin adventure, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, is now available for the PS4, three days before the actual system launches in North America. Ubisoft promises this will be the most beautiful chapter in the series due to the extra power of the PS4, and gamers will be able to feel like the future really is happening now with the Remote Play option, which streams Black Flag to the PlayStation Vita using WiFi so the rest of the family can watch something non-pirate related (and therefore meaningless) on the television instead.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is one of the first titles to utilize the PS3 to PS4 digital upgrade discount, which we have a thorough article on here. Also available is the Season Pass for Black Flag at a $20 asking price (the most intimate details of which can be read here), for the PC, PS4, PS3, 360, and Xbox One, and totally not the Wii U (grrrr!).
More details on Edward Kenway’s murderous exploits can be read at the Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag website. With this news comes the fact that Black Flag is now available for every console BUT the PC and Xbox One; these versions of the title will be on sale November 19th (three days before the Xbox One launches…looks like Ubisoft wants us to PIRATE these consoles in order to play Black Flag when it releases for their respective systems, AMIRITE?!).
