Explore the world of art in videogames with ‘The Interactive Canvas‘.
The Interactive Canvas is an incomplete novel in Kickstarter aiming to cover the validity of art in video games as well as an artistic perspective from those who have created video games. Designers for games such as Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Alice: Madness Returns, Braid and The Witcher have offered their expertise on the artistic and creative views of their respective game. Matt Sainsbury from Australia is looking to raise $60,000 for the project.
“Games have advanced to the point where they can inspire emotion and challenge the mind, as well as being a great way to relax after day’s work with a beer or three,” said Matthew Sainsbury, the author of the book. “There’s a big community of people out there that take their games seriously, and I want to create something unique for these people.”
The Interactive Canvas has raised $3,899 AUD so far with 48 backers. If you are interested in supporting this project visit http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mattsainsb/the-interactive-canvas-gaming-artists
