Here’s at least one good reason for not cutting gym class: Konami will soon be releasing a classroom sized edition of their hit arcade game, Dance Dance Revolution.
This new, extra large super sized version of DDR will be PC based and will allow up to forty-eight wireless mats to be linked together. As students dance the calories away, the instructor can track their BMI, the number of steps they’ve taken, and the amount of calories they’ve burned. In addition, each student will receive a card that will allow them to track their own progress.
The new version of the game is set to be unveiled at this years BETT event in London’s Excel venue. For those not in the know, the BETT is the global meeting place for the educational technology community and takes place from January 22-25th.
