ESL CIS announces €12,500 Pro Series League of Legends tournament

The Electronic Sports League, in collaboration with Riot Games, has announced the ESL Pro Series CIS. The best eight teams from Russia and CIS countries will be picked through two online qualifiers to participate in the competition. Those who make it through will have a chance to compete at the Finals where players will battle for over €12,500 in prize money (that’s approximately $17,000 in US currency).

The ESL Pro Series CIS will premiere on March 5 with the second online Qualifier on March 8 which will determine the last four teams that will participate in the ESL Pro Series Season I. Both qualifiers are open to any League of Legends team that have a line-up of CIS citizens. The ESL Pro Series Season I will be split in two halves and will last approximately two months.
