New PS4 frimware inbound, brings Pulse Headset support

The PlayStation 4 will be getting  firmware 1.60 tonight bringing a nice present to PlayStation nation. If you have previously owned the Pulse or Pulse Elite Edition headphones this update makes these compatible with PS4. Many gamers complained about lack of compatibility of these Sony headsets and promised to fix it. It seems like today they are going to deliver.

That’s not all though, Sony will be bringing a new member to the headset family, The PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset. These new headphone just like the Pulse and Pulse Elite feature a virtual 7.1 Surround system and a noise canceling headphone. They will be released sometime in the next couple of weeks for $99.

Lastly, there will be a free app coming to the PlayStation Store that will allow you to customize the the sound profiles for the full range of headsets. Gamers will also be allowed to download customized game presets from game developers with Infamous Second Son being available at launch
