Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition tops UK charts

Don't look so down Lara, haven't you heard? The UK is throwing money at you!

She may have merely touched up her make-up, but Lara Croft is back with a vengeance in the UK, topping the weekly chart upon entry. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is an updated version of the 2013 game, allowing owners of the current generation of consoles to play through its action-packed mysteries. The game received general praise upon its release last year, and has sold over 4 million copies in total. Now the retouched version of the game has entered the charts above current gen powerhouses Fifa and Call of Duty; though it should come as no surprise that it has proven so popular in the UK, the character’s mother country.

The other top ten comprise of (in order of place, 2nd to 10th) Fifa 14, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Grand Theft Auto V, Need For Speed: Rivals and Killzone: Shadow Fall.
