Watch Dogs to offer no less than six multiplayer modes

Jonathan Morin, creative director for Ubisoft’s well-anticipated game Watch Dogs, revealed on Thursday via Twitter that one of the game’s multiplayer options would include an open world free roam for up to 8 players.

As if that wasn’t cool enough, French gaming website Jeuxvideo also revealed that there will be at least five  other forms of multiplayer, collectively dubbed “Online Contracts.”  These multiplayer options include three 1v1 modes (ctOS Mobile App Challenge, Online Hacking, and Online Tailing) as well as three challenge options for up to 8 players (the aforementioned Free Roam, Decryption, and Racing – where you can race both vehicles and boats!).  As we mentioned a few days ago, the release date is finally on the horizon, and it looks like we will have much to look forward to!

Watch Dogs will be available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on May 27,2014.
