Android and iOS cross-platform multiplayer coming says Google

Entrepeneur Sky has reported that Google announced iOS support for its Play Games SDK during the 2014 Games Developer Conference. This will allows game developers utilizing the SDK to expand multiplayer support to the iOS. That means you and your buddies can play games together, either on Android or iOS!

Google also announced a bunch of additions to its Play Games service, including cloud saves, leaderboards, and achievements. This also includes both Android and iOS support. These services are a direct answer to the iOS Game Center, yet looks to expand where the Game Center has remained relatively stagnant in my personal opinion.

Now if only we could get free games on the iOS like you can on Android. Or will this push Android to start charging for games that were normally free?
