Natsume has announced that puzzle game classic Bust-a-Move 4 (originally released in the arcade, PS1, and Dreamcast back in the day) is getting a re-release this spring on the PSN. The title will be available on the PS3, Vita, and PSP.
P2 is so totally screwed
Hiro Maekawa, CEO of Natsume Inc., shared these words on the upcoming bubble fest:
“Bust-a-Move 4 was a very successful and popular title, and fans have been asking for a re-release for years. We were very happy to bring this classic back to new systems as a digital download!”
You and me both; I used to play the crap out of this back in the PS1 days. Bust-a-Move 4 features eight modes, like Puzzle Mode, Versus Mode, and Edit Mode. Edit Mode allows players to make 25 of their own stages, which is groovy. Bust-a-Move 4 was also the first title in the series to use chain reactions to utterly destroy your opponent, and also pulleys that required gamers to play the entire field so the weights on the sides of the stages didn’t rise or fall too low.
As far as story goes, you play as Bub or Bob as they rescue the seven shattered rainbow bubbles, but you only really care about popping the colored bubbles and the cool sound your machine makes when you shoot (PWEEE). There are a total of ten playable characters in all, with four additional unlockables.
