Ubisoft has finally spilled the beans on the next title in the Far Cry franchise.
Far Cry 4 is set for release on November 18th in the US for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and PC, and takes players to Kyrat, a region somewhere in the Himalayas. No details have been revealed regarding the game’s plot or setting, except that it’ll involve a “despotic self-appointed king”.
It is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, along with some other Ubisoft studios and Red Storm Entertainment. Pre-ordering Far Cry 4 grants players access to the Limited Edition which includes some bonus missions, featuring Hurk from Far Cry 3, and a bonus harpoon weapon.
Film score aficionados will also be happy to hear that Cliff Martinez, composer of the critically-acclaimed musical scores to Drive and Solaris , will be composing the game’s score.
More details on Far Cry 4 will b revealed at this year’s E3, with the game’s webpage promising an official gameplay reveal on June 9th at 3:00 PM PST.
