Pac-Man joins the roster of combatants for Super Smash Bros.

Wakka, wakka, wakka! During E3 2014, it was revealed that Pac-Man will be joining the fight in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. Yes, Pac-Man, Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man are going to be in the same game, beating the snot out of each other. They are joining a whole host of other characters from Nintendo and we can look forward to seeing them when Super Smash Bros. releases on October 3rd for the 3DS, and on Wii U during the 2014 holiday season.

That is the face of a man determined to win by any means necessary

In the game, Pac-Man will look like he does below most of the time, but during specific moves, he will transform into the iconic yellow round shape he had in his arcade debut way back in 1980. He also throws fruit and eats power pellets, BECAUSE HE’S PAC-MAN.

Gaze upon these icons mere moments before carnage ensued

Super Smash Bros. developer Masahiro Sakurai also revealed some new details on the title: gamers can customize each character with 12 unique attacks and three kinds of equipment that have various offensive, defensive and speed-enhancing skills, Mii characters can be used and can be customized with martial arts, shooting or swordplay skills, and the new Skylander-like amiibo figures can be battled against or teamed up with in battles and players can customize their fighting characteristics. The figures learn from each encounter, adopting more sophisticated tactics with each level they gain; Skynet will soon be upon us.

Check out a reveal trailer below and count down the days until Smash is upon us. I can’t wait!
