Indietopia revives the arcade shooter

It has been almost 20 years since shoot ’em up title Pulstar was first released in arcades and on the Neo Geo system in 1995.

Fast forward to 2014 and the shoot ’em up genre is being revamped and unleashed onto the Steam and the Humble Store. Developers Indietopia are bringing back the intense action packed feeling that arcade games of the past once evoked, without the need for quarters or tokens.

In true arcade fashion, Pulstar will feature local co-op multiplayer as well as a large scale ranking system for those who like to show off their skills.

To celebrate all this joy stick nostalgia, Pulstar will be 10 percent off for the next two weeks on both Steam and the Humble Store. For more information, you can check out Pulstar’s website.
