The Pokémon Company has recently revealed that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will allow players to build their very own Secret Bases. Gamers can set up mazes and traps for other players when they visit their creations, and even create battle rules; basically, it’s going to be like having your very own gym!
A gym as big as a New York apartment, but a gym nonetheless!
Players can share their bases with other trainers via StreetPass, or create a QR Code to make visiting easier. Trainers can invite friends back to their own bases as Secret Pals, in an effort to prove who spent the most crazy hours building intricate mazes to baffle visitors. Secret Pals have special abilities, like sharing new Decorations, making a Pokémon Egg hatch faster, and raising the level of a select Pokémon by one. The more pals you have, the more special skills you’ll get, so get sociable!
All of the people behind the main character are about to fall down trap doors
Lastly, gamers can capture flags while visiting Secret Bases, which improves the skills of Secret Pals. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be launching November 21st; anyone picking them up now that they know Secret Bases are indeed a thing that is happening?
