PlayStation Plus August free games include Fez, Crysis 3

It is soon to be a new month, and as most PlayStation Plus users know, a new month equals new free games. The August slate offers, like always, two new games per Sony console.

PS4 users will get to play Fez and Road Not Taken, two puzzle style games with refreshing ideas. PS3 users will be able to snag Crysis 3 and Proteus, giving you a good mix of first-person shooter and a casual explorer. Lastly, Vita owners will be able to download Metrico and Dragon’s Crown (too bad we couldn’t get this on the PS3 as well for some sweet cross-platform play).

These will be available for download on August 5th for PlayStation Plus subscribers. With the recent news that Xbox One users are gaining the EA Access program, there has become much more incentive for players to join up on PlayStation Plus to get their monthly member game fix.

Or wait for the PlayStation Now service coming very soon…
