To celebrate the one year anniversary of Wii U title The Wonderful 101, Platinum Games will be releasing an official two-volume soundtrack with remastered music.

The Wonderful 101 was released in August as a Wii U exclusive, directed by Hideki Kamiya, the man responsible for over-the-top titles such as Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. The game put you in control of an army of superheroes known as the Wonderful 100 (the extra one being you) as they defended their world from an alien terrorist organisation called GEATHJERK. It was colourful, insane, challenging and very fun.

Its soundtrack was an amazing blend of orchestral, rock and 60’s anime, even boasting a ridiculously catchy main theme that was reminiscent of old superhero cartoons. The music on the soundtrack will have improved sound quality and be edited so each track ends rather than loop like they did in the game.

Both volumes will become available to download from September 15th (tying in with the release date of the game in America last year) for $9.99 each.
