Today, Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on PS4 and Xbox One this November 18th, and they have added a ton of new goodies. PC owners haven’t been forgotten but will not be able to obtain a copy until January 27th, 2015. Some gamers out there may soon feel like beta testers as soon as you see the new bonuses and trailer below.
GTA V has received major visual and technical upgrades that make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than before. Draw distances have been increased in addition to a (much) higher resolution. Here are just some of the things Rockstar promises:
- New weapons, vehicles, and activities
- Denser traffic patterns
- New foliage system (Yaaaaaaaaay…)
- Additional wildlife
- Enhanced damage and weather effects
“I think that I would recognize my own underwear, now give them back!”
As if you didn’t have enough radio selections, over 100 songs have been added and new DJ mixes from returning DJs across all 17 stations. And if you pre-order Grand Theft Auto V, you will get $1,000,000 in-game cash to spend that can also be used in Grand Theft Auto Online ($500K is split between Story Mode and Online in-game bank account). Not a bad bonus!
A lot of exclusive content has also been made available for returning PS3 and Xbox 360 version players including rare versions of classic vehicles to “collect” from across the entire GTA series including the Dukes, a faster and more maneuverable Blimp, and the Dodo Seaplane. Of course, more wildlife photography and shooting range challenges have been added…I’m sure that will keep you up at night. Existing players will be able to transfer their GTAO characters and progression to their choice of PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Make sure you check the site for updating information!
