Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance now available on Mac

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the character action spinoff first released for consoles in February 2013 and ported to PC earlier this year is now available on the Mac store for $29.99, with a promotional $5 discount for anyone who purchases the app in the next five days. For PC users, the game is also available on Steam.

Metal Gear Rising Revengance Mac Version

A character action spinoff of the classic Metal Gear franchise, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was practically scrapped before Kojima Productions handed development of the gameplay aspects to Platinum Games, known for frantic action titles such as Bayonetta and Vanquish. The collaborative effort between Hideo Kojima and Hideki Kamiya enjoyed strong praise and sales, which shouldn’t surprise anyone, given its pedigree. This marks the series’ first entry on the Mac platform. A producer from Konami, Yuji Korekado, had this to say:

METAL GEAR has been a massive global success on myriad platforms and bringing the series to Mac was long overdue. METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE was a turning point in the series and is the ideal introduction for new Mac players.

Any Mac users out there who feel they don’t have enough cyborg spine-stealing and giant robot parrying in their lives should definitely consider picking this up. See the store page for more information and system requirements.
