Steam fanatics, fans and addicts, prepare to bunker down in your living rooms and basements this weekend, as Steam rolls out their biggest “free weekend” ever. The undisputed provider for PC, Mac, and Linux games and software will unleash 10 games to play, absolutely free of charge, for a limited time.
Steam’s free to play, ten game launch includes: Awesomenauts, Blade Symphony, Company of Heroes 2, Don’t Starve, Grid 2, Injustice, Killing Floor, Payday 2, Trine 2, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Even Vegas bookmakers are confident that you’ve been anxious to play one of these. The free weekend begins tomorrow, Thursday, October 16th at 10am PDT. Although this formidable game lineup will be free to play throughout the weekend, don’t expect to play them for free indefinitely.
The games can be downloaded for free, starting tomorrow, and can be played as much as you want, for the duration of the event. However, when the event ends, you’ll have to buy the game to keep playing. Fortunately, Steam heavily discounts these games, so they should all be very budget friendly. If you decide you don’t like the ones you’ve played, simply delete them at no cost to you.
Steam requires you to have an account to play this weekend, which is free to set up. When you’re gaming face is on and your digits are on their mark, head over to Steam to get in on the action. Happy gaming!
