Mystery Smash Bros screenshot – What does it mean?

That Masahiro Sakurai, he sure does love being secretive, doesn’t he?

Yesterday, on the official website and MiiVerse, Sakurai’s pic of the day for the new Super Smash Bros sparked curiosity amongst the fans, notably due to the censored wording.

Obviously, this is a new mode that will be exclusive to the Wii U version of the game, but as to what it entails, that remains a mystery. Is it a different take on the 3DS version’s Classic Mode? A replacement for Super Smash Bros Brawl‘s Subspace Emissary mode?

The Japanese version of the Smash Bros screenshot is uncensored, however, and apparently translates to “Master Side” and “Crazy Side.” There have also been unused audio files found in the game that say “Master Order” and “Crazy Order.” At the moment, all we can really do is speculate until the game’s release later this year.
