Fans of the Dark Souls videogame series will be pleased to note that Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be released April 7th, 2015, on current and last-gen consoles, as well as PC (excluding Wii and Wii U).
While not exactly “new,” Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin edition will include the “Crown of the Sunken King,” “Crown of the Old Iron King,” and “Crown of the Ivory King” DLC packs, regularly priced at $9.99, gratis.
In addition to the aforementioned “Lost Crowns Trilogy,” players will be delighted to know the game will be sprinkled with new in-game events and NPCs to interact with (or kill, you sinner).
Scholar of the First Sin will be taking full advantage of the capabilities of PS4, Xbox One, and Direct X11 PCs to provide an enhanced graphical experience, as well as other undisclosed enhancements that I’m sure we’ll learn more about as the game gets closer to release.
Last-Gen Feels the Love Too
PS3 and Xbox 360 owners won’t feel left out next year when Scholar of the First Sin is released either, because FromSoftware is releasing the new content via the Ver. 1.10 Update free of charge.
Here’s the trailer to hold you over until the game’s release on April 7th, 2015.
