FrightShow Fighter is a one-on-one fighting game featuring a roster of nightmarish yet almost adorable characters. Want to play as Faceless, the mutant laser-eyed rabbit? You can. Or, you could try out KrumbleJack, the angry bear-tossing woodsman. My personal favorite is Krunchy & Dr. Iggy, a pajama powered Triclops and a PhD unicorn. These are just three of the ten characters available in FrightShow Fighters. Everything looks like it has been drawn by a child that watched too much Nightmare Before Christmas and decided to make a fighting game. This style lends itself well to the game’s atmosphere and makes it spooky and strange, in a lighthearted way.
In the game’s singleplayer, you’ll be able to fight against the CPU and earn powerups to take into each match. These powerups can be things like fireballs thrown Hadouken-style or buffs such as increased defense. Each character will have its own host of special moves, like Monster Girl’s Cat Shower, to combine with these powerups, leading to a good bit of diversity for each character. The game is currently raising money through Kickstarter and is going through the Steam Greenlight process. The game will be available for iOS and Steam.
