Eric Cartman and his foul mouthed friends are set to return in Ubisoft’s South Park: The Fractured but Whole, the sequel to last year’s acclaimed RPG The Stick of Truth.
The new title, announced at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, will once again see players in the shoes of famed hero The New Kid, as they team up with Cartman’s superhero squad Coon and Friends to battle the crime-ridden underbelly of the titular Colorado town. Show creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will again be entirely involved in the project’s development to ensure another faithful, true-to-form South Park experience.
The Stick of Truth was a surprisingly good RPG which broke the long standing continuity of terrible games based on the franchise. It utilized a full gear, weaponry and loot based system, as well as featuring varied turn-based battles and even a little Metroidvania map hunting to provide a solid adventure experience, all whilst dripping with the biting satire and tongue-in-cheek shock humor of the popular TV show.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole will be available for Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC. Don’t forget to bring a towel.
