Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 gameplay

Activision just dropped the new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 gameplay trailer, and it looks epic! The new trailer is backed up by the punk band Plague Vendor’s track “Black Sap Scriptures” which totally embodies the traditional Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater feel that we all know and love. The trailer reveals skateboarding pros and hidden characters, and classic trick combos, all set in brand new levels and tons of skaters tearing it up together.

Remember it’s been 13 years since Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 released, for THPS fans this has been a long time coming.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 gameplay
With Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, players will be able to jump into online parks with up to 20 friends and challengers at one time. Just about everything you could do in the past THPS games, you will now be able to do online with friends in THPS5, like missions, unlocking new content, and leveling up. THPS5 is implementing a head-to-head competitive mode, for those players who feel that they have the skills to compete against each other, which will add to the multiplayer madness! Players will also be able to create their own skate parks and share them with the community. If your creation is good enough, you might find the Birdman himself in there pulling off some mad combos.

There has not been any conformation for the release date for either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, but release is anticipated to hit prior to the end of the year.
