Do you remember the good times you’ve spent roundhouse kicking people in the face and suplexing dudes through tables, all in the name of justice? Well, assuming we’re on the same page and you aren’t some sort of vigilante madman, then you’re remembering Streets of Rage 2.
Now Axel, Blaze, Max and character-no-one-picked Skate have returned in an all-new third dimension, as SoR 2 has been made available for download on the Nintendo 3DS, the newest title in the ongoing Sega 3D Classics series. This release includes local co-op multiplayer and new modes, including the ability to play the uncensored Japanese version, under its original title of Bare Knuckle.
In conjunction with the launch, Sega’s official blog has published an interview with Sega producer Yosuke Okunari and M2 President Naoki Horii, where they discuss the legacy of the SoR franchise and the difficulty in remastering the game for a 3D console.
3D Streets of Rage 2 is available now from the Nintendo eShop. GRAND UPPAH!
