Fallout 4 will not have a level cap or permanent ending

Bethesda have announced, in a recent Tweet, that their upcoming RPG title Fallout 4 will not include a level cap, and will let players continue exploring the world and taking on side-quests after the completion of the game’s main story.

Both Fallout 3 and Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas featured level caps, while Fallout 3 had a hard ending that forced players to start a new game if they wanted to keep exploring the game world after the completion of the game’s story. Looks like fans will finally be getting the prolonged post-apocalyptic experience they’ve always wanted. Infinite leveling also seems like an interesting addition to the Fallout formula, which is sure to stir up some excitement among fans of the series.

Fallout 4 is planned for release on PC and consoles on November 10th.
