Holy crap, it’s the 90’s all over again: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter returns and makes its way to PC just in time for the holidays. Night Dive Studios took care of the remastering of this N64 classic, and the title has been updated with these new features:
• Reconstructed game engine that captures the look and feel of the original while also supporting today’s technology
• Modernized graphics that accommodate widescreen and high-resolution monitors
• Improved menus and customization options
• Support for gamepads and keyboard binding
• Support for Steam achievements and trading cards
Trading cards and cheevos with my favorite game that has gun-wielding raptors in it?! Sign me up.

Steven Kick, head honcho and founder of Night Dive Studios, had these words to share about the remaster:
“When Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was first released it was nothing short of revolutionary. To that point, no game had ever offered the combination of graphics and an open world environment that Turok featured. We are very excited to have had the opportunity to bring this great franchise back to life and to be able to share this great title with today’s gaming audience.”
That’s all well and good, Steven, but please update Turok 2: Seeds of Evil next. I am itching to get some online multiplayer action going with the Cerebral Bore destroying people’s brains!
The remastered Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is now available from Steam, GOG.com, and the Humble Store for $19.99, with a 20% off discount for a short period of time. Lay waste to some raptors with the Tek Bow, preferably with Explosive Arrows attached.
