Live action role playing game, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, is looking extremely promising on Kickstarter after Ming’s Eye Theatre (and their official publisher By Night Studios) raised over $70,000 for the project with still over two weeks to go. Support has been flooding in for the immersive LARP experience, a modernised 21st century reimagining of the 1992 instalment in the ‘World of Darkness’ franchise.
The book is currently boasting over 400 full colour pages featuring an updated story, with balanced rules and artwork from Scott Harben – a cinematic illustrator whose work in blending photography with imagination has been heralded throughout the Kickstarter page. With a quick, comprehensive, and streamlined character creation system, and support for Storytellers allowing them to fully customise the game for their players, the project is seeking to act as a companion to their 2013 release, Vampire: The Masquerade.
There are several levels of unlock available to check out over at the project’s Kickstarter page, including new and unique Tribe Pins. Currently in for development in pdf and soft cover form, the opportunity for hardback will be unlocked when the project receives $100,000. Prospective backers can also check out three versions of published rules previews including the most up to date.
