One month prior to the expected release date of Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ubisoft has announced an open beta scheduled from February 19th – 21st for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC users. Xbox One users will have 24 hour early access starting on February 18th, however it will be available for pre-loading to all users starting on February 16th.
Based in New York City just a short time after a smallpox pandemic devastates the city, Tom Clancy’s The Division shows the effects of a quick collapse of government and the utter anarchy that ensues when basic resources are cut off and citizens have no access to necessities such as food and water. You play as a member of The Division; an undercover tactical agent tasked with preventing the destruction of society by exploring the origin of the virus, and protecting innocent civilians by establishing order.
The upcoming open beta allows everyone who was not able to take part in the limited closed beta to preview what exciting things are coming when the game is officially released on March 8th. In addition, participants of the open beta will also receive an exclusive in-game reward when the game is released. Check out the official website
