Telltale Games is teaming up with The Fun Pimps, a Dallas-based indie developer, to bring 7 Days to Die to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
7 Days to Die is an open-world survivor horror RPG that includes elements of fps and tower defense. Players are asked to survive the harsh post-apocalyptic terrain through the usage of combat, crafting, looting, mining, exploration, and character growth. The variety of different options means no playthrough is like another. There is already a variety of lets plays on YouTube to attest to that.
The creators of the game are now excited to bring 7 Days to Die to a growing audience through consoles:
“7 Days to Die is a labor of love for our small group of games industry veterans. After a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, we’re grateful to have had a wonderful response from our active community of Steam Early Access users; now, our partners at Telltale Publishing are enabling us to get the game in front of new survivors across the globe” said Richard Huenink, Co-Founder of The Fun Pimps. “We’re very excited that Telltale brought us together with the folks at Iron Galaxy, to build the game collaboratively and specifically for consoles. They have a stellar track record, and have been incredible partners in ensuring a perfect translation that includes new features and content not seen in the PC version.”
The console version of 7 Days to Die will add a new multiplayer mode for both local, split-screen “couch play” and for online multiplayer modes. Additional features will be announced in the coming weeks, including new DLC content.
Fans who also pre-order 7 Days to Die for the console will receive 5 character skins from Telltale’s hit series, The Walking Dead, including Michonne and Lee Everett. For more information check out the official website at 7daystodie.com.
