As predicted by, well, everybody, iconic Army-Brat Guile will be the next challenger to step into the colourful gallery of freaks that makes up the roster of Street Fighter V. The official announcement was made today over at Capcom Unity.
These just-unveiled images show the classic All-American boy rocking his Casual Fridays look, having clearly decided to come straight from the office to enter the latest tournament. We also see glimpses of his trademark Sonic Boom and Flash Kick attacks, as well as the return of his fantastic Street Fighter II air-base stage, quite easily one of the most recognisable stages in fighting game history.
I don’t know about you, but I’m more stoked to see the return of my personal favourite SF character: “Girl leaning on boxes”
Also announced for this month’s update was a new system implemented for punishing RageQuitters, which will lock frequent abusers out of online matches for unspecified periods of time, as well as general tweaks to the game’s struggling matchmaking system. For all you patriotic flag-flyers, however, Guile will be available to do battle for ‘Murica later this month.
Go home and be an office manager.
Street Fighter V is available now on PS4 and PC.
