7 Days to Die arrives on Playstation 4 and Xbox One on June 28th thanks to Telltale Publishing, who has collaborated with developer The Fun Pips to adapt the popular open-world zombie survival game from PC to console.
Civilization has crumbled at the hands of a Third World War and an accompanying zombie plague. 7 Days to Die drops players into this barren setting to not only craft necessary materials from scavenged resources but to defend themselves from the zombies who roam the land every seven days. Players divide their time between fighting, fortifying, looting, exploring, and building their character’s skills in order to survive.
The console edition of 7 Days to Die will offer multiplayer modes including local split-screen for couch co-op play with online multiplayer modes and features to be announced. The title will also expand through upcoming DLC material. An interview with the developers released by Telltale Publishing discusses further the title’s origin and features new to this console version.
Excited fans can pre-order 7 Days to Die and receive 5 character skins from Telltale’s The Walking Dead series. For everyone else, learn more at the game’s official website. 7 Days to Die is currently available in Early Access on Steam for Windows, Mac OS X, SteamOS, and Linux.
