Microsoft E3 recap

Xbox just kicked off their press conference day in a big way. Tons of videos and announcements; let’s take a look:

Xbox One S: 40% smaller, power supply built in (finally), 4k video and blu-ray player. $299, coming in August:

New program called Play Anywhere is basically cross buy for Xbox One and Windows 10. Almost every Xbox One game from Microsoft will have this feature. Examples include Gears of War 4, Scalebound, Forza Horizon 3 and Sea of Thieves.

Gears of War 4: Stage demo which looked OK, not great in my opinion. If you played a Gears game you know what you are getting into. They announced Horde mode 3.0 but gave no details. Lastly a Gears themed Xbox Elite controller coming this year. Trailer for that below:

Killer Instinct: Adding General RAAM from Gears of War.

Forza Horizon 3: Takes place in Australia, promises easy co-op between PC and Xbox One.

Recore: Looks like a fun platformer. Coming September 18th.

New Color factory will let you fully customize your controller.

Dead Rising 4: Frank West is back!!! But this time it is Christmas.

Scalebound: Co-op demo looked to be running a lot better than the demo last year.

Sea of Thieves: Be a pirate with friends, what else is there to say?

State of Decay 2:

Halo Wars 2: Cool CGI trailer. Play the beta this week. Coming Feb 2017.

Finally, they announced Project Scorpio. An ultra powerful console coming late 2017. It promises full 4k gaming and high fidelity VR (burn at Sony). Let the video below explain it better than I could:
