Are you ready for some microaggressions?

It’s only day two and it’s been the E3 that keeps on giving. Among the many release dates revealed over the course of the convention, we have been treated to another in the form of Ubisoft and South Park Digital Studios’ South Park: The Fractured But Whole. The sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth has been given a release date of December 6th 2016.

From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park: The Fractured But Whole focuses on a steady increase in crime in South Park, rendering the streets more dangerous than ever before. As the sun sets, the seedy underbelly of South Park comes alive and unleashes a reign of terror, havoc and chaos. Eric Cartman seizes the opportunity to save the two and create the best superhero franchise ever – his own Coon & Friends. Naturally Cartman – The Coon – will be the leader of the gang.

Continuing in their role as the New Kid in South Park, players will become a member of Coon & Friends and fight for fame and their place beside the other kids.

South Park 1

You will harness your fart-based superpowers to fight crime and become part of the most marketable superhero franchise in all of history! Like any good superhero franchise, each Coon & Friends member will have an origin story. The New Kid will discover their backstory, assemble their unique costumes and mix and match powers from numerous hero classes to create their own original hero.

Using Snowdrop, Ubisoft Massive’s proprietary engine, The Fractured But Whole has been expanded with more places to explore and will afford players greater freedom to customise their New Kid. The combat system is also brand new and offers unique opportunities to master space and time while on the battlefield. Players will also be able to use a revamped looting and crafting system to create their own equipment to aid them in battle. In short, a unique, customised experience is the name of the game.
