Metrico+ is the new version of the weird and wonderful infographic adventure for PS Vita, Metrico, which is now being brought to PS4, Xbox One and Steam. The game will release on the 23rd of August 2016 and in celebration of the release date reveal, Digital Dreams has released a new trailer.
Metrico is a living world of infographics, modified and driven by your input. The world, made of structures like data points, line diagrams, bar graphs and pie charts, are all programmed to react to what the player is doing. For example, one bar diagram may grow for every step you walk to the left, while another could decline with every jump you make. It’s clear from the trailer below just how much effort has been put into the physics and animations in Metrico+.
You will have to carefully analyse every movement to see how it affects each of the six unique worlds and whether it will help you to get any further. This mechanic is called Input Morphing and it is designed to make players consider actions they don’t normally think about.
The Worlds of Metrico+ trailer features all new worlds that can be explored in the console and PC port of the game and can be also viewed on the game’s official website.
The game features an exclusive soundtrack by Palmbomen which can only be listened to by playing Metrico+. Palmbomen wrote original music specifically for each in-game world and said music is written to completely respond to the way the player approaches the game.
Metrico+ will be available on the 23rd of August on the Playstation Store, the Xbox One Store and Steam for $13.99.
