Get ready to funk, groove, and make your body move this September in Kasedo Games’ new rhythm based RPG, The Metronomicon. Offering all of the intense story elements and strategy of a traditional RPG with the hectic button taps of a rhythm title, Metronomicon is sure to entice a broad audience to its spin on the genre.
In Metronomicon you control a motley crew of 8 masters of the “rhythmic combat arts” who activate various spells, buffs, and abilities through the raw power of rockin’ dance moves. While the timing of your moves is important to your dance battle abilities, Metronomicon stays true to its RPG roots. You gather more powerful gear, raise stats, and build your masters to take on classic RPG roles such as a tank, DPS, or healer.

Metronomicon also boasts a hearty amount of replayability with a free play mode and ranked side-quests. There’s even an arena mode for the purpose of revisiting the soundtrack of the game by recreating battles with added gameplay options.
A taste of the arena
Seeing as how Metronomicon has a heavy focus on Rhythm it only makes sense that the game enlists several high profile artists to keep up the blitzing beats. This soundtrack is rounded out by the likes of Jimmy Urine (whom you may remember from the Lollipop Chainsaw soundtrack), Perturbator, YACHT, Shiny Toy Guns, J-Punch, DJ CUTMAN, and a whole lot more.

Kasedo Games have already been nominated for several Best RPG awards at E3 and wrangled a Best Indie Game award at PAX East, so Metronomicon has garnered some serious recognition and is looking like a very intriguing game so far. Metronomicon is slated for a late September release for Mac and PC via Steam. More details will be revealed after the game shows at Gamescom this month.
