Tuesday’s release of Destiny: Rise of Iron, the long-awaited third expansion for Destiny, signals fresh content for Bungie’s massive looter-shooter.
In Rise of Iron, players will join Lord Saladin, the last member of the Iron Lords, on a quest to defeat an ancient enemy and discover the lore behind Destiny‘s staple PvP event, The Iron Banner.
The new expansion promises a hefty amount of both PvP and PvE content. It includes the Plaguelands, a craggy and snow-covered zone located on Earth; Supremacy, a new multiplayer mode; a new social space, Felwinter Peak; a new 6-player raid called “Wrath of the Machine”; new quests, loot, enemies, and a bunch more. Just in case you forgot, Destiny‘s timed exclusives partnership with Sony is still a thing, so Playstation gamers can look forward to having an additional quest, a Crucible map and a shiny new ship until at least Fall 2017.
Joining the release of Rise of Iron is Destiny: The Collection, a bundle of all of Destiny‘s content up until now including the new expansion. It’s available for Xbox One and Playstation 4, while those who own Destiny on last-gen systems can upgrade to The Collection until January 31, 2017.
Destiny: Rise of Iron is priced at $29.99 and Destiny: The Collection retails for $59.99. Both are out now for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
