Golden Joystick Awards’ Game Of The Year voting deadline has been extended

Due to an unprecedented number of votes, and increasingly tight competition between titles up for this year’s Game of the Year Award, the Golden Joysticks have extended their deadline for votes.

In the closest count in the awards’ 34 years, two particular, yet nameless, games are apparently in a dead heat scenario, so your vote may count more now than ever before. The extension gives players until midnight on the 4th November to vote for their golden title of the year in the only award category open to public vote.

This year’s games looking to snag the trophy are:

  • Dark Souls 3
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
  • Doom
  • Fallout 4
  • Halo 5
  • Hitman
  • Inside
  • No Man’s Sky
  • Overwatch
  • PES 2017
  • Pokemon Go
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • The Witness
  • Total War: Warhammer
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • XCOM 2

If you’ve spotted your shelf favourite up there, then head over to the Golden Joystick Official Site to vote and claim your ‘Golden bundle’ from Green Man Gaming. For your £1, each voter is entitled to this three-game package including Spec Ops: The Line and the remake of Sid Meier’s Pirates! as well as a mystery title. It’s going to be a tight one this year, so who knows who will be joining last year’s winner, Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, on the top podium on 18th November?
