Dungeon Defenders II and Terraria, developed by Trendy Entertainment and Re-Logic respectively, will blur the line between their so-far separate universes with a crossover content update scheduled to launch later this year.
In Terraria, players will have access to new invasion-style gameplay during a Dungeon Defenders II-themed event that will include special enemies and loot. Dungeon Defenders II will gain new maps, gear, vanity items, and more features all inspired by Terraria. A new hero, “The Dryad”, will also become available for purchase with the update.
Both development teams are eager to offer their players a unique experience with these crossover features in a way that builds on the strengths of both games. “Getting to work with another awesome indie developer, sharing the fun, unique things you’ve both created, is an opportunity that doesn’t come around every day,” said Andrew “Redigit” Spinks, CEO of Re-Logic.
