Although music festivals often feature big name artists and once-in-a-lifetime performances, these events also often feature obnoxious crowds, messy locations, and “rustic” bathroom conditions. All this changes with 2K’s announcement of the Park After Dark music series beginning November 26 in NBA 2K17.
Players will have the opportunity to see performances by virtual stars such as Future, DJ Premier, and Snoop Dogg as DJ SNOOPADELIC. The festival will set up in MyPARK mode, where players can participate in regular MyPARK games or try the exclusive Park After Dark 3Pt Shoot-Out and Dunk Show-Off Challenges.
“Music is such a big part of the NBA 2K franchise and greater basketball culture, so taking such an innovative approach demonstrates our commitment to evolving the game into a destination for more than just hoops,” said Alfie Brody, VP of Marketing for NBA 2K.
The Park After Dark music festival will be open to all players on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Find more information by following @NBA2K on social media and finding the hashtag #ThisIsNotAGame.
