This past weekend TVGB got the privilege of attending the PlayStation Experience 2016 in Anaheim, CA. While the show was a blast and we had a lot of fun, we actually went there for you, our readers. As such, it’s only fitting that you get to see just what it was like. We took tons of photos of the event, all of which can be seen below, complemented with a caption or two. Enjoy!
The line to demo Persona 5 seem to go on forever…WELL worth the wait however.
The place was PACKED. Most times you couldn’t move without bumping into someone. Though the crowd really died down later in the day.
Indie game booths for days.
We actually got to sit down with this game’s CEO and Co-Founder. He personally taught our staff writer how to play his game. How cool is that!?
Was very happy to see Crash Bandicoot at this event.
Virtual Reality was a HUGE focus at the PlayStattion Experience this year.
Farpoint was one of the more popular VR Booths. They always had a super long line. In the game, you hunt down and kill giant alien bugs. Starship Troopers VR anyone?
Racing in first-person was a totally different experience in VR.
You’re reading that right. There’s a VR Batman game. It’s as epic as it sounds.
This was another fairly popular VR booth. Eve Valkerie put players in command of their own personal spaceship. They’re then pitted against the other players in a fast paced battle in space.
There were a lot of fun photo opportunities as well! I took part in many of them.
This was a sports game bar. The bar patrons could actually play sports video games while enjoying their drinks. This should catch on.
Wonder how long it took to make this?
We just wrote an article about this game. Read it here.
The Capcom Tournament had a MASSIVE turn out. Thankfully there was plenty of seating and televisions throughout to watch all the action.
NuckleDu was crowned Capcom Cup’s 2016 victor after he defeated Ricki Ortiz in the finale during day two of the PlayStation Experience .
That’s all the pictures we have! We hope they were able to give you a taste of what the 2016 PlayStation Experience was like and encourage you to go next year if you can!
You won’t be disappointed.
