Capcom has released a mobile version of its arcade classic 1942. 1942 is now available for Android and iOS devices.
1942 was originally released in arcades in 1984. It is a vertically scrolling shooter that takes place in the Pacific Theater during World War II. The player takes the role of a plane to shoot down enemy planes and dodge enemy fire utilizing rolls and loops. The mobile version of 1942 includes a casual version in which adjustments have been made for a more easygoing gaming experience, and classic mode which follows the original specifications of the game. There is also the addition of leaderboards, as well as achievements.
The day one release of 1942 will be priced at just $.99 for both Android and iOS. After launch, the game will be priced at $1.99.
